This video was uploaded from an Android phone.

I received my shipment of BRS "Reef Saver" Eco Dry Aquarium Live Rock, 25lbs worth, from Bulk Reef Supply. I think they added a little bit more & great shipping by the way!

That large white tube you see to the left is my "poor man's overflow box" made from a 4" PVC pipe. I needed something to skim the surface 'till I get the Hydor Slim Skim.

I don't have space for a sump so I'm filtering my tank with a Fluval 305 canister filter. The intake tube is inside my DIY overflow box so that's how I'm able to skim the surface.

I have about 80lbs of Nature's Ocean Bio-Activ Live Aragonite Reef Sand. My tank has been running for about a week now but the dry live rock was added yesterday (08.12.11). As for the water, I purchased ocean water from Petco because I do not have an RO/DI unit at the moment.

Yes, this is my 1st saltwater tank. I got bored of freshwater (3 tanks), 2 planted tanks, but I still have them up and running. As for now, it will be a FOWLR but I do see adding corals in the near future.

I would like to thank everyone that I have subscribed to for providing me with a wealth of info! If it weren't for you guys I'd be at a playground with my 2 little girls watching them argue on who can swing the highest :P

  • The aquascaping looks cool wha brand of rock is it?

  • @GarageReef It's Bulk Reef Supply's "Reef Saver" Eco Dry Aquarium Live Rock (25lbs). Great company to work with.

  • @MunyN79 Cool im going with the dry rock also.Im going to seed it with live rock.I checked out BRS dry rock but i did find another company called Marco Rock it looks similar to yours and is a bit cheaper when i order it ill do a vid on it and let ya know what i think.

  • @GarageReef Cool, definitely do a vid when you get the rocks. Before I had these dry rocks I bought live rock from an LFS. I returned them immediately after finding out the rocks were infested w/ bristle worms, flat worms, & other pests! So I opted for the dry rock since they're 100% pest free :)

  • @GarageReef Btw, just incase you were wondering. There's 25lbs worth of dry rock and 7 pieces total. I have 2 side rocks holding up 1 middle rock for the 2 islands & just one rock at the far left. Rocks ranging from the size of a grapefruit to a coconut. Just wanted to point out to anyone else if they were wondering what 25lbs worth of this dry rock would look like in a 40g breeder.

  • verey nice tank good work cant wait to see more!... =]

  • @CandyFishRave Thanks buddy! I will be going on vacation in the next coming week so any updates will be on hold.
