Just out playing on a spring day with my buddies... trail riding, puddle jumping, and just have a general good time riding off road on some local trails

  • Why would somebody take the vstrom 1000 off road? I still say it is a road bike rhe drz400 or drz650 or the klr 650 is much much better choice

  • @stonesharve I own a DRZ400 but the challenge of riding a V-strom offroad is completly different. I guess I ride it off road for the same reason people climb mountains and jump out of good airplanes

  • Hey, what kind of tires where you using on your vstrom 1000 off road?

  • @mavilach

    Contental TKC 80's

  • IMO poor tire choice: what about TK88's?

  • It had TKC 80's on it... there is no such thing as a TKC88?! Are you aware of a new tire coming out?

  • ballsy, gearing is very tall on the stock V Strom for any tight trails, I wish they had a "bull low" 1st gear, lets call it 0.5, keep the ratios 1, 2, 3, 4 and make the last gear the same ratio as stock

  • awesome!

  • show !

  • well the Strom made it through Baja with flying colors but after riding a BMW F800 GS it went up for sale. Looking forward to some serious offroad on the Beemer
