Video of the Costa Concordia leaving the port of Civitavecchia, Italy on August 24, 2008.
On the evening of January 13, 2012 about three hours after leaving Civitavecchia the Costa Concordia carrying more than 4,000 people ran aground and keeled over off the Italian coast near the island of Giglio in Tuscany, Italy.

I was on the Cost Fortuna, it was one horrrible cruise. I will never go on another Costa cruise again, its just not for the American taste at all. Its sad for these families and I dont mean to be light about it at all, just would never go on another Costa cruise. Would never recommend them.

Wow, the ship looks even bigger here than it did to me on the few shots of it I saw tipped over on TV. I couldn't believe how close to the rocks on the shore they were. Best of luck to all the people on board an RIP to those who were lost. Thank you for this rather haunting upload.

On my trip back from Pompeii towards Naples, I met people that were on a day excursion from one of these cruise ships. They were looking forward to more exciting times as I see these people are. It is so sad that the loss of life and destruction happened. I just saw posted that the captain was arrested. I will delay judgement. Linda
