Crews at Oregon Iron Works in Vancouver, Wash. rolled out the completed east truss for the Hood Canal Bridge the morning of Dec. 15, 2008 despite sub-freezing temperatures and high winds. The truss, which measures 280-feet long, 70-feet wide and 35-feet tall, is part of the Hood Canal Bridge Replacement Project and will be installed in May-June 2009.
Pretty cool.
