I have 87.7 FM as my lowest frequency in my car. Now if I could only find an FM Transmitter that will transmit to that frequency. Somethere between there and 87.9

My Mobile.Brando FM transmitter goes down to 87.9, I've reviewed that one as well. For $25, its a great buy

I'm not sure if you have the right model, but I've heard if you hold the "Mode" button down, it goes into the country settings -- set it to Japan, and you can tune it to 87.9!
