Apologies for this video going MIA for a couple of weeks to the fans of this one. But it's back.
This is just (to me) your basic run of the mill tribute video. But I can say that, b/c I created it. However, it always is the one video of mine I can never keep up with comments. So here it is again, I present to you a special tribute to the absolutely unmatchable Karen Anne Carpenter. The greatest female vocalist and drummer whom ever lived. A collection of pictures of her throughout her career, with a classic Carpenters track.
**Dedicated to all of her fans, and also to Karen Anne Carpenter. RIP Angel of Music. ♥

  • This is a BEAUTIFUL tribute.I am as moved today by her voice as much as I was when I was in high school. She had somthing special and haunting about the way she sang her notes and melodies. That last pic of the drum set really hits home as well as this song (my favorite). Thanks for all the great pix.I wish she was still around but the sound of her voice makes you feel like she still is.

  • Ty so much for the wonderful comment, I'm so happy you liked it!!

I love how Karen's music is still touching ppl so many years after she left us too soon. Nobody could ever touch her vocals.♥♥

  • a great tribute to a phenomenal singer, the Carpenters made class A music and Karen was and always will be a Rock Star to me and millions the world over, her voice had the capacity to reach out and wrap itself around your heart, thank you for posting, i wish i could find a clip with her singing this song LIVE.

  • TY so much, I'm so happy you liked this. :_) She's someone I would've enjoyed to see in concert. When she died, that was the first time I shed a tear over the death of a celebrity. She touched so many ppl, & it's nice to see she still does!

  • Very nice tribute to an amazing voice!

    Karen and Richard Carpenter!

  • Ty so much!

  • @RhiannanAR1

"Nobody could ever touch her vocals"

    That's an exaggeration

  • Love this song. Its so heartfelt. I hate Karen got taken away so early in life.

  • Very nice tribute Rihanna. I love the Carpenters too and Karen is my favorite female singer off all time. It's such a shame she's no longer with us. I miss her even more now especially when I listen to the radio today and see how far music has plumeted in the last 30 years.

  • ~As yng.-bachelor in HollywoodHills circa mid-70's, late to an appointment, I spotted 'girl of my dreams' in front of a VenturaBlvd. Audio-shoppe. Double-parking my Corvette, i strolled over for closer impression! She was testing a Mic.; -i became enthralled by her voice & loveliness, and told her so; -she smiled graciously thanking me, then proceeded with the Mic. -Was later told by shop-owner- "Robair you should have stayed, ms.Carpenter hoped to become acquainted"; --i'm still heartbroken..!

  • I know that this song was made by Leon Russel, but Carpenters version sounds quite another tune, because by Richard

arrangement and Karen voice. The title of song should be A song for Carpenters by Leon Russel in my personal opinion. I respect both of them.

  • what an extraordinary talent.

  • I love you in a place where there’s no space or time

I love you for in my life you are a friend of mine

And when my life is over

    Remember when we were together

  • Thank you. This brings back some wonderful memories. Her voice and their sound will truly last forever.

  • I've been loving this song since I was seven...

and now that I'm 13,i still love it and I'm still loving Carpenters and I will love them forever...

the carpenters is the 70s band that i love best and will never ever be forgotten!!!

    love yah Karen!!!
