In Japan, a drink with a difference has gone on sale, Space Barley which has its roots in the International Space Station. While a limited supply means it's unlikely to be floating about for long -- as Jonathan Josephs explains, the beverage could make an important contribution to space exploration.

  • BOO! This is a marketing ploy. It's the sixth generation of this barley. It's not actually from space. It's great-great-great-great-great ancestry plant was from space. I looked this up months ago on the Japanese brewing company's website.
