A short clip from the 1962 The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm- "The Singing Bone". This song used to always creep me out as a child, and unfortunately this clip doesnt include the stop-animation skeleton, but you get the idea.

It was with quite a struggle I got just THIS part of the movie. Its incredibly hard to find. Its available on VHS and if you're lucky- you can find a bit torrent for download. Good luck! Thanks for watching.

  • Hey everyone! Thanks for the all the comments- I would LOVE to upload this entire movie cause I know what a b*tch it is to find, but not only is this movie nearly 3 hours long, but my version is terrible with visual quality and sound throughout 99% of it. I managed to get this little snippet but thats it. If I find a better copy, I'll hook you up, I promise! :)

  • Oh king pray listen to my tale

    I sleep beneath the tree

My master Ludwig raised his sword

    and drove it into me

I'll never walk the earth again

or hear a bird or plant a seed

Until the man who slew me says

    He's sorry for the deed.

  • Hmm, could upload the part of the movie like the whole story of The Singing Bone, since you can't upload the whole thing?

  • I always thought this was the creepiest crap ever when I was a kid!!!! Next to the scene in Darby O'Gill and the Little People when the Banshee appears!

  • @BerkLeeDrm I'm 54 and I still cry at the end of The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy tells the scarecrow she'll miss him most of all. Nice to hear I'm not the only cry-baby !

  • My most vivid memory of this film is when, after Hans stabs the dragon, it plucks at the sword with its forepaw, a great touch that made it look more real. It looks a little fake now, after CGI but at the time it was spectacular!

  • I saw this in school when I was a child. This was spooky then and still is now. Thanks for posting.

  • Cruuuuud this scene is incomplete. I want the "singing bone" as one of the artifacts in the WiiWare remake I'm working on of the old Nickelodeon kid game show "Legends of the Hidden Temple". I need to see the rest of this part of the film, but I can't find it anywhere, so this'll end up being the SECOND episode laid off the lineup! (If you're confused about what I'm talking about, check my channel for further details)

  • hm. i'm working on telling this story in class and since I've went through the story so many times, this song doesn't really creep me out. which is weird, because i usually freak out over movie posters and music videos, but strangely i'm okay with this. XD

  • @BloodWired Why did they write different lyrics?

  • incredible!!! why I never seen this movie in Spain?

  • So friggin creepy, no wonder my parents never let me see it!
