The neon sign says, "Come one, come all - always open, all the time,"
As the sign would flash cars were streaming past,
Few were answering the call,
As I stepped inside and looked around, I smelled manna in the air,
Someone shook my hand,
Someone called me friend and said, "Here's your table's waiting here."
As I took my place, an old familiar face said, "Sit on down, and welcome to the Last Chance Cafe."
Here at the edge of time, lost hearts can find their way,
This is the Last Chance Cafe,
There's room for everyone,
No one gets turned away here at the Last Chance Cafe.
He said, "Look around this holy place,"
Friends and family everywhere,
Visions of the past - I felt at home at last, I could spend forever here,
And he said, "For two thousand years I've been waiting here for you to come and join me at the Last Chance Cafe."
Here at the edge of time, lost hearts can find their way,
This is the Last Chance Cafe,
Oh, there's room for everyone,
No one gets turned away here at the Last Chance Cafe.
It's been waiting there throughout all the years,
This heaven made for you is at the Last Chance Cafe.
Here at the edge of time, lost hearts can find their way,
This is the Last Chance Cafe,
Whoa, there's room for everyone,
No one gets turned away here at the Last Chance Cafe,
Oh, here at the edge of time, lost hearts can find their way,
This is the Last Chance Cafe,
There's room for everyone,
No one gets turned away here at the Last Chance.
This is the CD that kick started me back into playing drums after playing secular for many years. It made me realize one CAN play music for GOD. Just love this stuff.

What a great song.
I've always loved Allies- such an underrated band in the CCM world.
This was such a fitting song for not only the last song on their album (at least on my cassette), but for the closure of the band. Such a poignant lyric as well as great vocals and musicianship. Their music is timeless.
I still think there needs to be a classic CCM station ala airOne.
