Learning@Cisco Portfolio Manager, Sanjay Mehta, interviews the networking industry's first two Cisco Certified Architects (Alvaro Retana & Khalid Raza) and gets their thoughts and perspectives on Cisco's newest and highest level of certification.
I think it has nothing to do with the traditional paths. They clearly explain that it's a validation of collective experience. There are just some things that cannot be achieved by being the best student and understanding concepts WITHOUT years of experience. From what I have read and understood up to now, this cert qualifies that you can approach (Cisco) networking from MULTIPLE perspectives. Listening to their job experience, I completely understand how they could achieve this.
