  • Vermont = Fascism

The ugliest and dumbest state in America !

  • Again with highly intelligent criticism!

We Vermonters quiver in the shadow of your refined intelligence and handsomeness.

  • silly hippies nukes are powering the computer ur using and all the electricity you use... embrace the future

  • WRONG! My house is powered by solar energy - THAT'S the future, silly! (nuclear is 40 year old technology)

  • If you actually had a degree in Nuclear Physics, instead of just what your Greenpeace tutors LET you know, you would know that it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to create a Nuclear Weapon out of Commercial Nuclear Power Plant waste.

  • Because cars that run on water are scams.

I don't have to know anything about it because you see, we have this thing called The Laws of Thermodynamics.

  • arguements btwn ppl with fists-full of Phd. on both sides are meaningless if regulators aren't regulating and safety managers aren't ...safetying.

  • Lol i see alot of people commenting who are not from this state, Dont live next to a nuclear reactor, and havnt seen the thing FAIL on you leak into your river, a cooling tower collapsed, Look at Chernobyl and Japan and tell me you want to live right next door to one were talking within 500-600 yards of the building. i am from brattleboro i have friends in Vernon who live only a 1/4 of a mile away from the reactor.

  • Congratulations at eliminating 620 MW of safe clean reliable power.

You will NEVER get that back in your lifetimes.

Hope you like importing your electricity from now on...

  • The last thing you want to worry about with nuclear power is bombs.. I'd say worry about a square mile of uninhabitable land and a hundred people with cancer..

  • The 60's are over, What a bunch of morons, they will be the first to cry when they get their first electric bill after this plant closes. Half of these losers don't even work.

  • those communist assholes have given young and old people good paying jobs with insane benefits.. where is the money going to come from if they were to put wind turbines? It would cost millions and you would need 300 to 400 thousand wind turbines to power the state of vermont. Nuclear power is safe and entergy runs plants all along the east coast.. on top of that they have some of the best engineers in the country working there.

  • It's great to see some reasoned debate here in the comments. Keep the thoughtful analyses coming folks!

i n addition nrc approved relicensing

vt legislature gave themselves the power to say wether or not they could remain open unconstitutional? i believe so
