G'day helifreaks! This is my 5th flight, just after some trim adjustments on a windy day(gusty aprox 15knots). Only doing tail in hovering at the moment. Need more practice on the sim. Don't worry those kids in the back ground were a long way away - they look close because the camera was zoomed in!

  • I just bought a used Trexx 600 and can't wait to hover.

What training gear is that? I like the size -not to big.

  • Hi jazzjohn2, that gear is home made - it consists of 2 pieces of pine dowel and 4 foam fishing floats. The pieces are attached with cable ties! Cheap and easy.

  • Gday mate. I see noone has posted for a few months, so I though I would. I have only just seen the vid.

I just bought a Blade 400 as my 1st heli 1 month ago, fairly tricky to fly as it's light and designed for 3d, which I'm not overly interested in doing. Scale is more my thing...Trex600 with scale body..one day. :)

My training gear is still on but landings are good, where I want. Everything still tail in. Clearview Sim...lifesaver. :)

Love to see any more of your heli vids.

  • Gday brotherblonde! The Blade 400 is a good heli I'm told - I think you'll have fun with it. I haven't done much with the 600 lately as every time I take it out it has some sort of a technical problem. With the weather warming up a bit I should get on to it I suppose! I've flown my sons $30 micro heli more than the 600 I think ;-) if you have avid send me the link so I can check it out. Cheers

  • @burnrider2001 Gday mate. Thanks for that. I have the HS65MG for cyclics and a HS55 for the tail You are right, the Eflite one's are designed to make you buy their spare gears. :)

  • @brotherblonde You might wanna put some better servos in that Blade if you bought the RTF kit. I have read on a couple forums that there are problems with the company using servos that don't last that long in the RTF kits. Just a suggestion.

  • as a begginer, start over, on clear pavement, use wiffle balls, and steer your heli around like a tank or car so you get used to all directions of view, nose in is important too. the way your doing it you will learn to hover but always be nervous when the tail isnt pointing at you. if you cant afford a crash, go to a 450 for a while.

  • might want to find a safer spot to fly... You have any gear malfunction and you are putting those children at a dangerous risk.

  • forget flying the chopper

whats with all the girls at 2:03 !!

  • you don't need training set the y are for girls they are easy to fly. just practic ewith phoenix
