  • Bravo to Richard and Mimi, spirit never dies.

  • Richard George Fariña (March 8, 1937 – April 30, 1966), was also the author of the novel, "Been down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me". He died tragically in a motorcycle accident in Carmel, California following the publication of his novel. He married Mimi Baez, younger sister of Joan Baez, in Paris, France in 1963 when she was only 17 years old. The title of Mr. Farina's novel was used by Jim Morrison of the Doors for his song, "Been Down So Long", off the LA Woman album.
