Banco Ambrosiano was an Italian bank which collapsed in 1982. At the centre of the bank's failure was its chairman, Roberto Calvi and his membership in the illegal masonic lodge Propaganda Due. Vatican Bank was Banco Ambrosiano's main shareholder, and the death of Pope John Paul I in 1978 is rumoured to be linked to the Ambrosiano scandal, giving one of the subplots of The Godfather Part III. Vatican Bank was also accused of funneling covert United States funds to Solidarity and the Contras through Banco Ambrosiano.

ROBERTO CALVI:
Roberto Calvi (13 April 1920 17 June 1982) was an Italian banker dubbed "God's Banker" by the press due to his close association with the Vatican. A native of Milan, Calvi was the chairman of Banco Ambrosiano which collapsed in one of modern Italy's biggest political scandals, and his death in London in June 1982 has been the source of enduring controversy. Calvi's death was ruled as murder after two coroner's inquests and an independent investigation, and, in June 2007, five people were acquitted of his murder after a trial in Rome.

Claims have been made that Calvi's death involved the Vatican Bank (Banco Ambrosiano's main shareholder), the Mafia (which may have used Banco Ambrosiano for money laundering), and the Propaganda Due or P2 masonic lodge.

@babarishka I replied to the quote about Hitler wanting to destroy the Catholic Church. Hitler said himself that he was Catholic, but he didnt care what denomination triumphed, as long as the "enemy of Christendom" was eliminated..

@caliNYCdoja I remember reading in Mein Kampf the line in which Hitler refers to Luther as a great man, or something to that effect. Of course, Luther was the founder of Protestantism. But as he wasn't quite right in the head, I think one has to take some of the things he said with a grain of salt. Someone else here quoted Hitler as saying that he wanted to eliminate the Catholic Church. I mean, Hitler was supposedly a quarter Jewish, and look at his actions. Another NWO puppet/nutcase.

@babarishka No I certainly wouldnt call Hitler a Christian, but thats what he called himself. All you have to do is read Mein Kampf. He talks about the Jewish people being the enemy of Christendom. "And so I believe to-day that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator. In standing guard against the Jew I am defending the handiwork of the Lord." (p.46).

@caliNYCdoja I'm agnostic, so I wasn't offended. The Pope, Hitler - murderers all. Yes, I've read just a bit about the Catholic Church assisting Hitler (not discounting individual priests who helped refugees), but I don't think Hitler was Catholic. Suster's book is pretty convincing, and I've even seen as much on History Channel documentaries (for what that is worth). At any rate, can you really call Hitler or any of these pedophiliac Popes "Christian?" That's a mighty big stretch there.
