  • I'm not saying this shark wanted to eat those guys, but its certainly possible it was thinking about it... Oceanic white tips are considered very dangerous and are said to be responsible for more fatalities than all other sharks combined . If those guys were bobbing on the surface after there boat had sank they would likely be attacked. This species lives in the open ocean where food is relatively scarce. They exploit all opportunites...

    The guy you are arguing with ( although purposely being provocative ) is actually right, and you, like all the other simpletons on here, are reacting like a child.

    His point is that sharks should be protected because they are majestic predators that are worth protecting, not because they are the misunderstood teddy bears that we are constantly told they are these days.

    Sometimes sharks kill people, mostly they don't. Always they are awesome. That's all there is too it.

  • I've heard these oceanic whitetips are pretty radical sharks. Given that they spend most of their time in open ocean, they take any opportunity to get a feed.
