This video will show how to go about fixing a faulty ION cymbal. You will need a Phillips head screw driver and electric/masking tape.

  • I taped a quarter to the piezo, similar to the original penny mod. It increased pickups slightly, but I'm still having major issues with really low velocity sensitivity and dropped notes. Once I plug my yellow tom into the cymbal, I still have the same problems. This leads me to believe its the module itslef. Any fix?

  • you could try contacting the company, but I have nothing but bad things about their customer service, good luck!

  • No problem, happy to help.

  • A nice piece of foam works well too, it makes it all fit nice and snug. Thanks for the video.
