  • BRAVO!!!! Loved it, but a few things to improve on.....

Like most other people are saying, the speed did seem a little slow.

There is a borderline between "passionate" and "killing your violin", and you're on the borderline. keep it real.

Overall great, your recordings of the lalo have helped me A LOT. Thank you.

    btw LOVE the hairstyle:-)

  • ah this gives me hope, solo ensemble is in nine days... thanks for posting

  • @ynomir50 nope, he crossed the borderline when he broke his E-string in the fifth movement. :P

  • @MarekPavelec oh. cool:)

  • 1 word: Badass.

  • @BenJiang311 No, it isn't ringing

  • @luckixlino Yes, i agree!;)

  • @ninjalikesweapons Definitely agree with that. I love the amount of force he puts in. Lalo is a very forceful composer, I believe. I'm not as good as Marek, I do play violin, and I certainly agree with the tempo he went with. This is only my opinion of my own music, but the slow tempo builds suspension. His vibrato is very beautiful too, I have to say. Bowing is very persise too. You need a lot of stamina for this peice too. Very good stamina. I love his style of playing also.

  • I've never been more jealous of another's talent or opprotunity as I am now. Hell. I wish *I* had a willing orchestra to play with me.

  • well even tho spain isnt rlly big on much modern stuf u gotta give em props on their spanish music. its so fun to play =)

  • @ynomir50 I have to disagree with you lightly. i strongly feel that he wasnt 'on the borderline' he gave just the right amount of force. he has great volume and he knew that a certain color came out when you bowed the g-string like that. it was perfect for this intense peice. If you think hes "on the borderline" then u must think maxim vengerov killed his stradivari. i think it was pure passion. hes excellant. BRAVO is correct.

  • I'm not a musician, yet I perceive it to be a bit slow, more technical that passionate - the sound I mean, not the violin treatment - after all it's "Allegro, but not much". The wind's entrance @ 4:37 it's a bit 'mechanical' and sounds as if slightly separated from the main instrument. What do I know, anyway...I liked it.
