Alien biology may be more similar than you think. Consider convergant evolution, that is when lifeforms that have very different backgrounds evolve similar traits because they evolved in similar environments. A dolphin and an icheyorsaurus are two very different creatures that would be difficult to tell apart. One is a reptile that lived during the Mesozoic(dinosaurs) and the other is a contemporary marine mammal. A tool using intelligent terrestrial creature may look very similar to humans.

@ras351 I know what convergent evolution is... There is no reason to believe a humanoid form would be converged upon. A fish form has been converged upon, flight has been converged upon, but a humanoid form has never been converged upon. Why should we assume that it will on another planet? There's no reason to believe that.

K first of all this video is bullshit because we are not from damm monkeys! if you trace the bible stories back to the summerian text it tells you straight we humans were once alien to this planet our selfs and those with dark skin have an adaptation to the sun. To be honest there over 500 races of intelligent human and non human races out there. Some are here an some aren't. Trust me in this Era in time Ignorance can be bliss.

There are some problems with life being on other planets. Like water for instance, it's everywhere but there is not enough of it. Earth IS large for a rocky planet. But this there is all too much to guess on. Their is one equation that one can use to figure out how many civilizations exist today in our galaxy that can contact us. But the results vary widely as you try diffrent estimates. My guess is that we are the only intellegent life in the galaxy, with any other life in fairly simple forms
