At first there were 70 stars because Bowser demanded it. Then there were 16 stars because MIPS the rabbit demanded it. Then there was 1 star because Bowser's Sub demanded it. Now there are none because the viewers are impatient and demanded the game be quicker.

As with many other runs on this site, the goal of pure speed has resulted in the complete breaking of the game. Very little of the game's normal play remains. If you'd like to see more of what Super Mario 64 offers, see the 120 star run ( http://tasvideos.org/850M.html ).

This movie is approximately a 6 second improvement to the previous movie ( http://tasvideos.org/1089M.html ) due to a "series of improvements" discovered by the authors, detailed in the submission message ( http://tasvideos.org/2029S.html ).

Now if only you could do something like this in the DS version. I doubt it could be done as fast but there's got to be something that will speed it up. Actually in the DS one you don't have to beat a Bowser to get the next area of the castle to load if you can find a way to glitch through walls in that game (I have moon jumped through doors and you just have to touch the other side of it to get the room to load as if you entered it) then it could be done faster.

And now the only thing left is to get a NEGATIVE amount of stars. You have to literally beat the game SO FAST that you wind up OWING the game stars by the time that you're done.
