It's a shame that Marlon Brando didn't do Godfather 2 as I would have like to have seen the scene where Michael tells his father that he wants to join the marines and not join the family business.
the thing is, brando didnt want mike to join the family business.. he wanted him to have a safer and more respectable profession, though the marines wasn't in his plans
Yeah I think your right there was a scene in the first Godfather where Vito tell Michael then he never wanted this for him. But there is a deleted scene where Vito tells Michael that what miracles did he perform for strangers and tells him that he never came to him for advice like a son should.
Yeah he was brilliant. But there is something else I want to know. If vito did not want Michael to join the mafia then why was Michael avoiding his father in the begininning of the film?
im guessing it had to do with kate being there or what his father had to say about him being in the marines(after his father pulled some strings to get a deferment from the draft)
