  • Robert Mitchum sang the title song over the opening credits of the movie "River of No Return," and this sounds like Robert Mitchum's version of the song, rather than one by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Robert Mitchum also sang the title song for the movie "Rachel and The Stranger."

  • @olejoe97233 Mitchum might be able to sing, but trust me, this is Tennessee Ernie Ford!

  • Dont forget Tommy!

  • @71Stig Thanks, I probably should have mentioned him...Tommy Rettig, a fine actor.

  • No one can sing this like the "ole pea picker". I still miss him!

  • Tennessee Ernie Ford has the best voice. What a great song. Marilyn Monroe is a beautiful woman. She is not a skinny woman. She usto wear a size 12, and she still looked good.....Thanks for sharing....

  • @olejoe97233 Yeah Mitchum had a half-decent singing voice, but c'mon olejoe, had he been able to sing this well, he'd have been doing musicals most of his career.

  • Ford was a good comic and could be amusing when he did his twangy hick-voiced material, but what a great voice he had when he sang seriously!

  • Great Movie.

  • @cajanwitch60 No. We are into movies and Broadway musicals. But are otherwise not into TV watching except for news or old movies on ION and such on standard VHF/UHF D/A free RF on the pole down the street.

We are very much into VHS and find DVD subject to many playback flaws. Not a stable technology. So we go to Amazon for VHS movies and have found some fantastic ones for a penny in the original shrinkwrap.

VHS looks like digital when the monitor is moved back three more feet!

  • @Glinkaism1 Do you have direct tv ? They have channels of movie themes & Broadway music too.

  • bella película
