  • It's creepy but it's based on Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal, it was meant to shock and horrify the rich into helping the poor by presenting a plan to cook and eat the children of the poor so the poor could make some money. He challenged the rich by asking if they could come up with a better plan.

  • so hilarious! Jonathan Swift was a genius in his satire.

  • The Third World is here and they are cannibals whether you like it or not.

Perhaps you are too naive to realize this.

  • @OfficialUSPostage Well seeing the fact that he was a protestant minister, and the fact that after people were alarmed at his essay (not realizing the satire) he had to explain his persona, I think it's safe to assume that he was not being serious

  • @MokuCat It was more of a satire than an attempt at striking fear into people

  • Abortion seems better than modest proposal.. -_-

  • @OfficialUSPostage lol everyone knows he wasn't serious. Jonathan Swift is known for his satire

  • Nice rap!

  • Maybe Jonathan Swift was serious.

Who can sustain these grifting, black handed beggars who insist on breeding irresponsibly?

Valuing zeros and quantity over quality!

  • hahaha this just made me seriously excited to write my mid-term english essay!! hahaha

  • @MokuCat

It's actually deeper than that, they were not just poor, they were poor and Irish. The Irish got so much bullshit and flak from the Brits during the old times it's not funny. Some people even saw the Irish as subhuman and proceeded to treat them as so as well.
