Three Incorrect Laws of Motion

Newton's Three Laws of Motion are a landmark achievement in physics. They describe how all objects move. Unfortunately most people do not really understand Newton's Laws because they have pre-existing ideas about the way the world works. This film is about those pre-existing ideas. By recognizing what people are thinking, it becomes easier to describe the correct scientific concepts of Newton's Three Laws and how they differ from this 'intuitive physics'.

I don't get why there's so much hate...

The main premise of the video is poking fun at people who "Butcher" the three laws. People may think two words are synoptic when really they're different or people who fail to address all basic concepts.

1. Wrong in general physics, this wouldn't apply to an object with velocity in a void.

2. Change velocity with acceleration and it's correct.

3. People don't realise mass and accel play a more important part in this law rather than the force itself.

Being a first year physic student, I'm glad I knew these laws are not real. They only can apply to objects with gravity acting on them. They don't apply in space example* an object of mass of 500 hit an of object of 1 mass with an velocity of 50 will and always hit the object with that number and the object of 1 mass will gain velocity of 50 no matter the mass difference. The of object of mass of 1 will always continue the velocity it gain until it hit another object and transfers it velocity.

Every one this is not meant for people who have no understanding of physics, but a learning tool for those who do. It is meant to get you thinking about what the 3 laws really mean. 1st law of inertia 2nd acceleration = force/ mass and 3rd every force has an equal and opposite force, if you wanted to know the real laws. I admit its not his finest teaching vid but he is a smart man and knows what he is doing.
