"Make Me a Millionaire," the California Lotterys TV game show, awarded 12 lucky contestants a total of $214,500 in cash and prizes on this weeks show.
This weeks show is highlighted by Nichol Ramos-Ybarra of Long Beach taking home an impressive $70,000 playing Safe Cracker. Even more impressive? She made it to the show by buying only one ticket that her daughter picked out for her. She said she plans to use her winnings to take care of her family and buy a house.
Another big winner this week is Lisa Gonzalez of Sherman Oaks. She won $50,000 playing California Cool. And while it was tough to stop at $50,000 she plans to use the money to open a small clothing store.
Trisha Ruiz of La Mesa and Lillian Truxton of Westminster each won during the Lucky Penny game segment and had a great time doing so. I clapped so hard my hand bled, Ruiz said. Both can either accept a brand new Chevy Malibu or take the cash equivalent of the car, which works out to $30,000.
This weeks Millionaire game contestant, Emad Jwaid of La Verne, took home $15,000. With the progressive jackpot increasing $200,000 each week, next weeks Millionaire game contestant will have a chance to win $2.4 million.
