Everyone sees the northerners as heros. If they were, then they would not have killed civilians in Atlanta or slaughter Native American villagers or displace Japanese Americans into relocation camps. During the war, they never mentioned anything about abolition until 1863 when the war turned to their favor.

I think one state a strong one. TEXAS I hope starts movement. When attention and the federal response to them will be negative. All 10 remaining southern states and many western and mid west states would follow.

@aspie101 lies. There weren't more than a handful of black rebs and that was at the very, very end of the war when you were so desperate you had to change your racial laws.

Rebs would enslave free blacks in conquered northern areas and send them south, and massacre black union soldiers while taking white ones prisoner. (remember fort pillow?)

You were so racist you wouldn't even consider capturing blacks to trade for captured rebs since that would be acknowledging their lives had similar value.
