My Treo 680 Unlock Failed Attempt

Bought an unlock code for my AT&T Treo 680 from BlowFish06 off ebay. I have done tons of Treo 650's and 680's and 600's and finally this attempt failed.

Hi,

Blowfish wanted video proof sent to him showing the code he provided being entered into the phone before he will refund me.

I sent him the video and he ignored me so I posted it here for all to see.

Never got my money back so I never used him again. There are other guys out there that can unlock so just do a search and a price comparison and check their feedback before buying.

why would you buy an unlock code when you could get it for free??

I bought the phone off ebay and I needed to use it in Canada. AT&T does not give out codes unless you are their customer.

I ended up re-selling the phone back on ebay to somebody that uses AT&T and bought another 680 locally.

I have the same Treo, I wanna know how do you math the IME to get the code. Maybe I can give it a try.

I bought the code from an ebay seller that supposedly have the software that calculates the code. I don't know what the formula they use to hack the code with.

It is generated using a software and the software is owned by the Newtworks or stolen by Hackers.

You can call AT&T and request the unlock code from them if you are a customer of theirs.

Otherwise pay an unlocker for the code with no guarantees that it will work and lose your money at the same time.

@tribulationy2k I am not an att account holder and never in the past had an att account. But about 1 year ago I got an unlock code over the phone for my att LG shine that I bought on ebay from att. Beside all the other questions that I was asked one thing that they cared about was whether the phone was used with an att account for the duration of the required period of time.  The person on the phone told me most phones it has to be used for 9 month with att before a code code an be released.

I just got my unlock code from AT&t, but one problem. "You have tried this 6 times, wait until timeout." I've waited for about 2 hours now and still won't let me press Ok.

Um, no! I was a t-mobile customer and i brought my 680 off ebay. I called and had my unlock code in less than 10 minutes.I don't know where you heard that customer rumor, but it isn't true.
