Great choice to post, a wonderful song thought it really has nothing truly said. The way it is sung is absolutely amazing. The feeling behind the words says so much than actual words could ever do. For some reason each time have heard this, it brings back the old tales of the Bean Sidhe, and the soulful songs they sang.

A cross between The Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance... yet somehow nicer than both.

It is very beautiful but not true keening. Caoineadh - (Gaeilge irish language) means to weep lament and involved calling up the names of all who preceded the deceased and then the stories and identity of the deceased. It was banned by the Catholic church who deemed it wrong... There is a rare recording of authentic keening by Kitty Gallagher somewhere on the net & i think on youtube too.

@foolaciously Oh cool. I am glad you like it too. It feels good to be appreciated. I am new at this so it's great to get feedback. Thanks for the encouragement!

Actually, it's not a Celtic language, though it does sound somehow Celtic overall. The words are made-up syllables that just sounded right to her. One of my top songs of all time, and you've done an amazing job with the video; it looks like something Jordan would have done herself.

@foolaciously I wasn't sure what you meant at first, but I see where you got the idea now - cos I described the song as Celtic. By that I meant it had a Celtic feel and syle, not the actual language, cos in the album cover Jordan says she made up the words herself. Sorry for any confusion there.
