Another "Pride & Prejudice" scene spliced together from three adaptions. If you have watched my earlier creation "Lady Catherine's visit" you'll understand why the 1940 version has a slightly different take on that conversation.

The most recent film is the 2005 Focus Features version starring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy.

The 1995 BBC/A&E Production stars Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth in the leading roles.

And finally Greer Garson as Miss Bennet in the 1940 MGM version which also stars Sir Laurence Olivier as Mr. Darcy.

Hope all the fans of each version enjoy the way I've clipped them together!

  • like the 1995 version...

  • Not trying to be rude or anything, but what is it with people and Colin Firth? He's not really attractive at all, and Matthew makes the perfect Mr. Darcy. I prefer the newer version, it just seems more real to me than the others.

  • @supaflyninjagleek20 I said the Matthew Macfadyen's version of DARCY is closest to the book. There is no doubting that what happens 1995 version is almost the same as the book. Read more closely next time dimwit!

  • @Jadexxpxx Closest to the book?! The 1995 version practically uses the book as a script! And how is the 2005 version anything like the book? "I luff, I luff, I luff you." And weren't Darcy and Elizabeth walking with Kitty, Jane, and Bingley when he proposed again? Not in a random field somewhere.

  • I don't care what anyone says, Mathew makes the prefect Mr Darcy. He plays him closest to the book. Colin Firth's Darcy is good but the 1940's one is just naff!

  • WHOAH 5:26

  • @spongecheese101 totally agree. the characters all look perfect to me. and it was the most accurate version ive seen so far

  • @Oasisstar789 for me 1995 is the best =)

  • @spongecheese101 i agree that he is not that attractive but in my opinion he plays Mr. Darcy on point i love him as darcy........

  • @spongecheese101 because being smokin hot isn't the same thing as being handsome. a lot of people feel like he nails mr. darcy's awkwardness, intelligence, and compassion to a T. pretty much all of his expressions kill me in the 1995 series.

  • I like all three of these versions of Pride and Prejudice. They each have an element in each I like. I think in my own opinion that they their good points. The only problem that I have with two of them, which are the 1940s, and 2005 version is that they are too short in my opinion but in what they put into those versions are mostly the good parts in my opinion. I have loved Pride and Prejudice for years and I do not think that I will ever stop loving Pride and Prejudice.
