@JonolanFairchild You know what, I think you're right. Not so long time ago, HIM was my favorite band, but what I like more now are Poisonblack, Sentenced, Charon, Amorphis... But still, HIM's music is special after all, it might not be very mature, but still comes from the heart and heart can be immature sometimes, no matter how old we are. That's what is called love. Don't want to sound like a smart ass, but I just had to say that.

how bout they are both amazing, both have an amazing fan base, and are unique within their own work..

@propsforlife I've said it before, and I'll say it again; if anything, Charon is H.I.M for adults.
-
@propsforlife Actually, let me amend that; the emotion that H.I.M DOES express is shallow, contrived and over-the-top, and sub-emo.
I've listened to everything H.I.M has released in the hopes that the hidden Finnish genius inside of Ville Valo would step out, but he's found his niche and it isn't changing.
J.P. Leppaluoto sings and it makes my heart flutter with sympathy, but when Ville Valo sings it just sounds like the whining, fantastical drivel you might find in a 13-yr old goths' notebook
-
@propsforlife I'm sorry, but no.
Charon expresses genuine emotion, whereas H.I.M is just synthetic darkness chasing a demographic.
-
HIM,CHARON, SENTENCED and 69 Eyes are the most emotional bands!
Amazing song! Just what my heart needs... Hell Yeah!
-
" IF YOU WANNA SAVE HER, THEN YOU HAVE TO SAVE YOURSEF." -H.I.M.
THINK ABOUT THAT.

+ the center-aged 69 Eyes stuff. Not the old progressive rock and neither their stupid new "goth'n'roll"
