Khomeini isn't a clean ally at all. We could have had cleaner allies, or just no need for allies or enemies in the middle east if the mothership of the middle east (Iran) turned to a democracy in 1953.
I will say that I think Carter was a decent and honest man, but a total moron as president. That's more than I can say about Obama, who has no redeemable traits.
