Palm Oil

A truly well researched and produced news report from ITN concerning the problems of palm oil. You simply despair with the short sight of humanity; sure, filling up your car tanks with this stuff might make you feel environmentally cleaner, but the cost in is going to be somewhat short lived if there aren't any rainforests left destroyed producing the stuff. This was from 2007; they agreed fuck all as per normal. It does remind me of that Native American saying about only when the last river running dry will we realise we cannot eat money' or something or other. Spot on.

So we cut down vast swathes of trees for cleaner air? I'll just be banging my head against a wall in the corner
