If there had been an opera named "Exodus", this would have been considered a great aria from it. That's why it takes an operatic-style voice to sing it properly. Kudos to Gold and Tucker.

To Halavey:
Music composed by Ernest Gold for the 1960 film 'Exodus'; lyrics written in 1961 by Pat "White Bucks" Boone (not the singer Pat Boone) as 'This Land Is Mine'.

@halavey Yes he did.

Great! Bravo! Very moving.

Pat Boone is credited as the writer, but his vocal is weak, very weak
compared to Richard Tucker.
All the songs here are excellent, mostly because they are sung in English

What a beautiful voice. Thank you.
thanks so much for this. Did Pat Boone write the words? It was said by many he did? The anniversary waltz is very good also on this.

The tape box doesn't say who wrote it. The LP cover might; don't know where mine is though!

Just excellent, keep these fantastic posts coming! Love this. With this turntable/recorder you can transfer 78, 33, 45s, pretty much everything on vinyl to CD now? How'd you do the reel to reel? I've got several of my dad's surviving LPs laying around I haven't heard in a long time, I'm thinking about getting a converter myself.

I bought the Teac CD-RW880 CD Recorder from J&R for around $240 and I think they're actually cheaper now. It is not a turntable/recorder; I have seen those Teac things sell for just as much as the one I bought and the turntables are made of extremely cheap and flimsy plastic. For what they're asking for that you could buy a fantastic high end turntable from the 70s but then you wouldn't get the CD recorder of course. Those things also have very poor reviews. Anyways, I had poorer results with..

.. LPs so unless you have some good click/pop removal software or don't mind them it might not be worth it. I have some decent software but when I transferred Peerce's Las Vegas album and fixed it up the results weren't the best so I had to take it from the reel to reel tape of the same album which I was trying to avoid as it is 2 track (the very oldest form of commercially released stereo reel to reel tape) which doesn't sound as good as 4 track. I'll transfer some records soon and post them.
