I went to school with his dad. I was a grade ahead of him. He was a nice guy. But that's where Alex got it...his dad was a beast too. he was only a touch cocky but not to the point of being a jerk. Maybe confident is a better word. He didn't act like a jackass like so many good high school athletes think they have to act. I would say "Hi Todd" and he would smile and say high back. Just seemed like a good guy.

Alex Gillette was a freakin beast. Not only did he play qb he played safety, and was on the punt and kick return teams.

he used to pass more but then they lost all there good receivers. Everytime Alex went for a decent distance pass they would drop it.
