Discus spawning.wmv

2 of my new discus spawning. They've only been in the same tank together for 3 weeks and they've already paired up. The female (the striped one) first goes over the leaf and deposits the eggs, then the male (the blue one) goes over and fertilizes them.

Not sure as of yet. They're spawning once a week, but every time the fry get to be free swimming, the parents eat them.

I am having the SAME exact problem! Every week! I once took the dad out and the mother cared for 4 of them for 3 weeks then ate them :( I also wrapped the tank in white paper and left the light on, and lowering the water level.
