I've been really struggling to keep watching Ghost Hunters. During season 3 when all of a sudden, the show's format went from fun & intense to stiff & corporate, that's when the show lost it's appeal. Everyone walking around all stiff looking like they were going to get yelled at by SyFy or something. The last 2 seasons, especially in 2010 when Grant was yawning in almost all episodes. I totally lost interest. Now he's leaving. If he's not interested. I'm not interested anymore.

I am a faithful watcher of the show, as you put it, and that's why I know they don't work as plumbers anymore. Roto rooter is a sponsor. They just do the plumbing bit as "product placement." I know that because I'm a faithful watcher of the show.

ROFL! They haven't worked as plumbers since like season 2. Roto rooter are major sponsors of the show and one of the trade offs is that Jason & Grant do the 'ol "product placement" thing by wearing the uniform and displaying the van at the intro, but they haven't worked as plumbers in ages. Also, Jason & Grant's net worth is too high at this point to be working as plumbers. They're also hold executive producer rights in the show.

As he said in the episode where he told tge team he was leaving, 8 years of doing the show has put a lot of stress on him and his family. (This isn't a shocker really - he has a wife and a few kids at home yet the show keeps him on the road a lot.) And he said that he feels the show has achieved its goal of increasing awareness, growing TAPS, and helping people (who have experienced paranormal activity), so it's time for him to focus on other aspects of his life now. He does have a day time job if you were a faithful watcher you would know that Grant & Jason both have day time jobs and they both take care of their wife and kids so at times if they look a lil tired thats the reason why

Yup! I noticed Grant yawning in every ep too! It was like he had a daytime job or something & couldn't stay awake for this one! LOL!
