  • This song's name is Birds lament (Mr Scruff retail), not Get a move on.

  • @TheMrSkoka the original is bird's lament

  • @Hernstein2783 Yes, because Stephane Pompougnac remixed the track :)

  • @sabadashi I'm sorry, but I'm genuinely confused here. There's absolutely no difference between this and the original apart from some of the intro being cut out and it's been sped up. That really qualifies as a remix these days? (I'm not trying to be a douche or anything, I'm just wondering if you have some context that I don't.)

  • @lillesvin best top rated comment ever!

  • The vocals are from "Hypin' Woman Blues" by T-Bone Walker.

  • Moondog-Bird's Lament

  • @GeorgScholz Oh, I know the original. The thing is that Mr. Scruff sampled Bird's Lament in Get a Move On and this is Stephane Pompougnac's (re)mix of the Mr. Scruff song. I know the original (Bird's Lament) very well, but we were talking about the differences (or lack thereof) between Mr. Scruff's version and Stephane Pompougnac's version.

(By the way, the album is called Sax Pax for a Sax.)

  • @lillesvin Listen to the original from Moondog (CD 'Pax Sac for A Sax'). On thís remix, you can here voice and various additional instruments (trumpet solo, drums and others). For me, this remix would be nice, however, the 'techno drums' are ruining it completely.

  • @stephen88hox

You are right I remeber dancing to this in clubs in Bristol when Scruff himself was playing. This is way too fast.

  • @ConductiveDan That's probably compression from the mixing process. Doesn't really make it a remix though.

  • @lillesvin i can hear a difference

much more compressor on the beat here imo...

  • @sabadashi HA HA SERVED
