@larryboy1995 ,what was the song about, any translations??

Total respect for this musical genius. It is today overlooked that he totally dominated the art and business of music in the DRC (Zaire) of the 1970s. Apart from leading Veve to produce hits after hits, he owned Orchestras Kiam, Lipua Lipua, Les Kamale among others. The prolific nature of his stable almost relegated the likes of Franco and Tabu ley to the periphery. This would have been insignificant if these two were not great musicians themselves. Long live Verckys!!!

Verckys's music calms the spirit. One of the greatest composers the world has ever known.

Instrumentation and vocals of a unique style. Young, vibrant, creative, handsome, and full of life on stage, these guys were a blast. I did not even know that Verckys himself was a master of almost all instruments only that the Sax was his favorite.
True sons of Africa and you can see the logo show up at 2:50.
Where are ALL the members of Veve these days? Larryboy1995 please help.

Ahh this was realy nice to hear now and in the 70's when my older bros and sis you to dance to the ground sure Kariobangi hoee.what can one say about a nice past with veve, lipua lipua, kiam, kamale, shama shama, bela bela e.t.c
I played this record, part I and II (45 rpm) many times in a lonely room in one of those long winters in Canada as a foreign student from Africa. I don't know where the tape is anymore but Im glad to find the song again. Thanks, Larryboy.

Welcome, fellow African. I know how it feels to be caught up in one of those cold n long winters, so far away from the warmth and vibrancy of home...
