  • @SFAPowerhouse it would've been done by now they have financial problems i heard #500 needs a new boiler

  • @TheDeputation Just to clarify, the website for the TSRR states that # 500 is "Down for 1472". It's the inspection process that vintage steams must go through every 1,472 days of service, in which the entire steam locomotive is taken apart and refurbished. So yeah, taking apart a 100+ ton locomotive can take up some time. I'll be looking forward to seeing #500 on the rails again!

  • @CVandergriff2008 No. It's an ex Santa Fe locomotive. TSRR painted it a custom color.

  • @TheDeputation She was getting a full overhaul when the TSRR was privatized (thanks, Rick Perry...jerk). Beyond that, I don't know her disposition.

  • Looks to be a old Southern Railway locomotive

  • @modeltrainman12345 sadly no, no one knows what exactly her status is the tsrr website says down for 1472 inspection but ive heard she needs a new boiler idk

  • Does she still run on TSRR?
