  • Hmmm, they H1B guys will do a $100K per year for $48K so that 30 day application requirement is just a feel good reach around. If these H1Bs are so skilled then why has my job essentially become training them to do things that any US college kid can do right out of the box but won't do it for peanuts? When a degree in computer science pays the same as a truck driver or a plumber you know something crooked is being perpetrated on all of us(including immigrant workers).WAGE SLAVERY IS HERE!!

  • "I assure you, there is no shortage of skilled engineers in the U.S."

  • Walgreens is hiring East Intians like crazy. IT work is not rocket science, it is the GREED of certain companies, both US, (Microsoft) and Indian, (TATA consulting). Just because India suffers from overpopulation, (which is their own doing) the solution should not be bankrupting qualified Americans that have been in IT for years. We will deal with it one way or another, we are not going to lay down and let you run over us on this, you have my word on that.

  • Not properly legislating fiscal accounting is the primary reality of our demise. Most of Us have one thing in common, our stomachs are getting empty and it is getting worse, not better. Politicians can't just be "busy" in times of crisis, they must PRODUCE RESULTS.

Unemployed US IT worker, (first time my 34 year career).

    1995 to 2005 - 110k to 115K per year

    2006 to 2007 - 85K per year

    2008 25K - per year

2009 5K - per year (unsustainable at current cost of living)
