I just gave it a try, it was a very tight squeeze for the bottom to fit properly into the sliding lid. I noticed the top measurement of 5 1/2 was 1/2 larger than the top which is 5". Even scoring the top by 1/2 still made the box bulge.. Thanks for sharing your video.
The bottom piece is 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" scored a half inch in around all sides. The top piece is 4 1/2" x 5" scored at the following measurements 1/2", 2 1/4", 2 3/4" and 4 1/2". It is supposed to be tight so the bottom will not just slide out when carrying it. As for the bulging maybe my tea lights are smaller? I made 10 of these and they didn't bulge so I don't know why yours is? I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!!!
