  • Had you removed your recovery partition when you got your computer? If so, you will get this message, and in answer to your question, this isn't bad. This is a disaster.

  • Farstone@DriveClone offers backup & recovery

  • @shailube you probably don't have the dvd drive set as your primary boot device. what you want to do is look at the screen when you first boot your computer, at the HP logo you'll see a function button to press to get the boot menu loaded. I'm almost certain it's F9. When you get the menu select the dvd drive (with the first recovery disc loaded) and you should be fine from there on out.

  • @elieromano hello brother please help me.i have same problem.and now i delete that recovery partition.i got a set of recovery from my friend for same model.but dont know how to recover it cuz its not showing on my com. :(

  • when u try to restore to factory settings on a pavillion using discs, it failed. I resorted to the discs because the D:partition where the HDD recovery files were, it seems were infected or corrupted. In the inde did not recover, The error: Do not turn off PC while recovery in progress DISPLAYS eternally and it is frozen. HP techs were not much help.

  • every seems to be getting this, even me, just proves that hp are a bunch of theives :)
