this was set and film in sabah if im not mistaken, but how come those characters didnt even have sabahan accents.

IMO, technical wise the Malaysian film is not bad... what they' lacking right now is a good story telling

Sometimes msian film director's love to do art films for the sake of art films and forgotten to give a strong idea story telling. If a film is driven to just great cinematography without substance then the movie will passed like a ship a night. Nobody knew it came. Please don't take my comment offensively, I just thought of if I do care about msian films, I should comment something more constructive then just praised.
