Nio, you dont have to heat up the claws to remove the stones. If you did, you may ruin certain 'soft' and heat sensitive stones.
Just slowly ease them back just far enough to remove the stone.

do you need to heat up all prongs to remove a stone? or do some thinner prongs need no heat. thanks
