Back in 2002, a production system was created to allow less than 4 hour turnaround from copy to broadcast new video - Thanks to Chris Gentile formerly V.P. at Viewpoint and Tim Miller and his Blur Studios team for their support & participation on this project. Steve E. Tice of QuantumWorks Corporation was responsible for creative design and was Executive Producer. (Steve was one of the founders of the first company, SimGraphics Engineering, to commercialize Live Animation or Real-time Performance Animation systems back in 1991) Hope you enjoy watching as we enjoyed making this stuff !! Too bad project was never green lit.
RELATED - With Performance Animation (Live Animation) Systems we developed prior, we had turnaround less than 1-2 hours for final clean broadcast video, but not at this quality level. Of course, only rough rendering quality was available, for say web video purposes, immediately after real-time performance.
