The afghan pattern is Jacob's Ladder by Beth Ham which can be found at
http://www.freewebs.com/bethintx/jacobsladderafghan.htm .

I used a J hook. On my last 2 rows I used ch-8 instead of ch-10. For the edging at the top of my afghan, I used hdc in the dcs and sc in the ch-10 loop.

I worked 70 rows, 7 rows of each of 10 colors.

The afghan laid out with the ch-10s between was about 60". After the ladders were done, it was about 44 1/2".

Part 2 will demonstrate how to finish the ladder as you add the top edging.
