I'm american and I know that Chinese women are small in general so what looks 16 here, isn't what looks 16 there.

they were fantastic but if they were underage thats wrong, everyone has to play by the same rules (otherwise Bross might have made the 2008 team and wouldn't have to go through all this for her Olympic dream)

THere is a possibility that CHina cheated, but stil this wouldn't be announced and fought over for if America got gold in gymnastics, and the baiased American fans aren't even showing any sportsmanship congratulating the CHinese. How mean!

@CobbChallengerGirls I think they dropped the highest and lowest scores, which they do for every score, and then they were tied, so they dropped the next lowest score and Kexin was slightly ahead (Kexin had two 9.1's and a 9.0, Nastia had two 9.0's and a 9.1). They both had a 7.7 start value so yeah. Kexin was definitely my favourite of the two though :).

I think there's a huge chance some of the members were underage, but I don't care. So many gymnasts probably haven't been able to go to the Olympics at their peak because of the silly age thing, and isn't the Olympics sort of meant to showcase humans at their physical peak? If they don't want to have to hold investigations and face controversy they should lower the age, because if she is 14, then isn't that a perfect example of why people under 16 SHOULD be allowed to compete?

she totally deserved the gold. in fact the whole team deserved gold. it doesnt matter if you're one of the favorites to win. if you dont prove that you deserve to be called one of the best then you shouldnt be there. china worked their butts off for the olympics and they put their hearts into their routines and it showed. so my congrats to you chinese team. i dont care if you were 16 or 12 when you competed but you dominated.

i remain impartial as to her age but 16 or not she deserved to win. the girl is a fricken beast.
