I question how legit it was as the body language, just prior to this kick, indicates that it could have been staged.

The kick came from a completely unexpected angle. People don't normally pull ninja moves off the cage. That's why his hands weren't up -- he wasn't expecting anything.

I was at that fight, with a better view than anyone watching on TV. It was not staged.
