Exactly most men "THINK" they are taking care of home and they are clueless!!! We still like to hear we look beautiful every now and then. R U in a relationship? R u secure in knowing your partner is happy? U might might want to take a second look. I must admit u do have a bit of a point though.

@joytheauthor This movie AGAIN makes me sick. She's "falling apart"? what about her infidility? screw that "soulmate" love crap. She was unfaithful PERIOD! If the roles in this movie were reversed, the feminist pigs would have picketed out side of the theater and boycotted it. Double standard bullshit !!

I cried when i saw this movie, even though it sends a positive message, that you can find love at any age or stage in your life. you cry for the love that they have for eachother but can never share together again. And because you know she sacrificed her love and life for a family that does not "see" her. I think thats a lot of women. Meryl is breathtaking in this movie, you can see it "all" in her eyes.

I liked this movie because of the wonderful acting done by Meryl Streep, even though there's not much else going on. Bored housewife has affair the end. That's what marriage is boring. Some people like the high you get when you first fall in love but that wears off. Believe me if she would have gone off with Clint Eastwood in this movie she'd soon become bored with him as well.

A woman will dedicate her life to her family even when all her needs aren't being met.

She is emotionally falling apart and her husband gives her a disgusting look....then turns the radio on to the "Farm Report." What a guy.... One of the best movies ever.  Superb acting!

I watched this in the theatre...I haven't cried that hard in ....ever. I thought I would choke.
