  • Yes! I found the translation somewhere. The video is on echidna82 youtube channel. The video's title is Ioan Gruffudd. I'm not sure what other poem's are recited by him and Rhys, but they sound so lovely to my ears. :-) Oh! and they are sitting on a beach. LOL!

  • Hi, my name is Rebecca and I have to say that im so happy that you've uploaded this film to your page. I cant buy it anywhere and im welsh! I actually live in the welsh valley just like solomon and gaenor lol. its sad that the film is like 100 pounds but im glad that i can watch it here. hopefuly i cna buy it in future. anywho thanks very much! (thought id translate the below)

  • Thanks so much for the translation. I wish I knew how to speak Welsh. It took me forever to find out what Ioan was reciting in the poem Ar lan y mor (?). It's not in Solomon & Gaenor. It's posted somewhere else on youtube. Anyway, thanks. :-)

  • Testing. I've commented/replied on three different days. Nothing. Maybe this one will show up.

  • I love the song. Can someone tell me the name of it?

PS, Great job with the video. I really have to see this movie.

  • (Copied from my response about 6 months ago. I'm so lazy. Oh, and for this video, I shortened the song length. It's really about 6 plus minutes)

"A Place Among the Stones". It's by Maire Brennan. Davy Spillane is on pipes and whistle. This version is from Celtic Circle Vol.2. There's another version, that I find just as beautiful on Maire Brennan's Misty Eyed Adventures. They are so close, you really have to listen, but there is a slight variation.

  • He is actually the most beautiful man alive.

  • He has no right being that beautiful. I am going to faint. Oooo.. -_-

  • he played an officer in Titanic film (1997) ^_^ hes so cute!

  • I´ve searched high and low for this film and nothing!!! It´s sad that films like this one are nowhere to be found in my country. Can anyone help me? Thanks a million for the vid!

  • Being as beautiful as Ioan can't be an accident of nature. He must have been hand-sculpted by the Gods.

  • any chance of you uploading the whole film?

  • Lucky, lucky girl!!!

  • i'm a italian girl and i always want to see this movie but we don't have it in italy... but i watch it in Spanish and love it so much!!! this movie is so romantic, sweet and so sad!!!! ioan is great and this song is lovely...

  • Unfortunately the golden poem by the sea with Ioan and Math Rhys seems to be gone. This was from a film produced for S4C called Dal: Yma/Nawr. (Some of the best of Wales' poetry --6th century to modern--a terrific collection also including Nia Roberts (Gaenor) and many others, and music by Cerys Mathews and John Cale, and the Stereophonics.) Does anyone have it?
