I was gonna say you're cute. Then you said you were a sophomore. Now I feel old and creeperish. You're an amazing guy though. Coming out that early is so many things: awesome, brave, courageous, and most of all, encouraging to all the other people out there struggling.

You will also serve as an important role model, first and foremost to young LGBT who need to learn that society's low opinion and expectations of them must be counteracted by a personal exemplary citizenship to inculcate a corollary self perception as a good person. "Be twice as good to be thought half as good."
Thus, you may begin to persuade homophobes that they are mistaken in their belief that we are inferior creatures.
